When Will - soon unwillingly christened 'Posh Lad' - starts a years' apprenticeship with Stanley Lampitt he expects horses fresh air and a solid training in forge-work. He's not quite prepared for Stanley's method of teaching though. But this unique approach teaches Will a whole lot more than what it is to be a good farrier including how not to woo a girl and how to avoid being bitten by a psychopathic Jack Russell. Will's journey to fully fledged farrier is filled with many trials and a few tribulations but surrounded by horses and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales he discovers a life that could make him very happy indeed. . .
